WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Rapper A$AP Rocky’s trial for allegedly shooting his childhood friend two years ago will begin on October 21st. A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm after allegedly firing shots at rapper A$AP Relli. An LAPD press release alleged an argument took place between Rocky and the victim near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenue. “The argument escalated and resulted in the suspect firing a handgun at the victim,” the statement reads. “The victim sustained a minor injury from the incident and later sought his medical treatment. Following the shooting, the suspect and two additional males fled the area on foot. Detectives worked diligently to investigate and corroborate the reporting information, which helped identify the suspect(s) involved.” The rapper was arrested and police served a search warrant on the rapper’s home dressed in full riot gear and used a battering ram to access Rocky’s property.
