The member of the House of Representatives, representing the Kiru/Bebeji federal constituency of Kano State, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has officially returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naijaonpoint reports that Jibrin made a return to the APC at a political rally on Sunday.

In a video making rounds on social media, the Kano lawmaker changed his cap to one with the insignia of President Bola Tinubu as the crowd of supporters cheered and waved APC flags.

It would be recalled that recently, Jibrin was expelled by a faction of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

The Chairman of NNPP in Kano State, Hashim Sulaiman Dungurawa, while briefing journalists on the development, accused Jubrin of engaging in anti-party activities and failing to meet his financial obligations to the party.

Dungurawa said the decision to expel Jubrin followed his repeated media outbursts against the party and its leadership.

He further described Jibrin as a “weak politician” whose electoral success was only made possible through the Kwankwasiyya movement and NNPP platform, not personal strength.

Reacting, Jibrin said he has accepted his expulsion from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

The lawmaker, in a statement, said he is ready to depart the party in peace despite not getting a fair hearing on the allegation against him.

He also appealed to the NNPP to allow him to go in peace.
