Nigerian songstress and singer Tiwa Savãge has parted ways with her manager, Mekka Millions.
In a series of posts on her Instagram story, the award-winning singer announced to the world that she no longer works with Mekka and that bookings through him are at people’s risk.
Though not explaining further, Tiwa said she was tired and would reject any bookings from him. She noted how she has made this announcement countless times, yet people still call him for bookings.
The single mother of one noted how she isn’t one to bring her issues on social media, and can’t reach every promoter individually to inform them about her new decision. Tiwa stressed that she wouldn’t be responsible for anyone who loses their money to Mekka.
“I do not work with Mekka anymore
Please for bookings contact [email protected]
Any bookings that go through any other channel will be void and you will lose your money”
“Abeg e don do. I have nothing to do with Mekka. Even if it goes through him and eventually gets to me, I will refuse booking.
I have said it many times, but people still call him for bookings”.
I hate coming on social media for this, but I can’t reach every promoter individually.
I just got a call that the money for a booking I have coming up was just paid to his personal account. Your people will lose your money. I’m saying it again for the last time because I will not be responsible for you losing your money”.
Last month, Tiwa’s baby daddy, Tee Billz, had called out her new manager, Vanessa, for overbooking the singer and making their son lonely. Tunji made it known that he loves the mother of his child; however, he believes her manager only cares about her percentage and is milking her. He revealed that Jamil, their son, confessed to her that he is lonely and hurt from not having his mother around.
A few weeks back, Tiwa had made a public service announcement to those who always ask her for money. The mother of one revealed that she is also struggling with the current economy. To make matters worse, she is a single mother. The award-winning songstress said she hustles all day and night to make ends meet.
Last year, April, Tiwa went on a brief Instagram rant, talking about people who claim that she doesn’t support other female artists. Shutting the report down, she questioned which female artists have more female collaborations than her. Tiwa went on to make more posts, sharing clips from songs she has done with other female artists, which include; Waje, Ayra Starr, Amaare, Becca, and most recently, Simi.
