A female accountant working with the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, identified as Kasham Thomas, was found dead inside her car.
According to Daily Trust, the discovery happened on Monday night along 35 Road, Gwarimpa area of Abuja.
Naijaonpoint reports that her body was seen with stab wounds to the chest and stomach.
Police from the Gwarinpa division were called to the scene, and her remains were later taken to Kubwa General Hospital after her family was informed.
Relatives explained that earlier in the evening, Thomas had visited Karshi community to pick up her two children ahead of school resumption.
She reportedly dropped the children at her Lugbe residence before leaving again, saying she would return shortly.
That was the last time her family saw her alive.
Items found inside the vehicle included a knife suspected to be the murder weapon and an Apple Watch.
This case adds to a growing concern in Abuja, as it comes shortly after a Bolt driver was discovered dead with a stab wound on the Gwarimpa-Kubwa expressway, where his car was taken.
In another recent case, a corpse was also found inside a car at the National Assembly complex.
Police authorities at the Gwarinpa division have confirmed the incident and begun investigation.
