Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Bolaji Ogunmola, has called out an airline after being stranded at the airport in Ekiti State for over 24 hours due to multiple flight cancellations and rescheduling.
In an emotional video shared via her Instagram page on Thursday morning, the visibly distraught actress revealed that she had been stuck at the airport since Wednesday, missing the first day of production for her film project, which reportedly cost over N20 million.
“I’m still at the airport, by the way, and I’ve cried my eyes out this morning. I’m in Ekiti. I’m still here because I’m on set this morning, and it’s the first day of TOC’s production. I have actors on set. I booked restaurant. I booked everything, and I’m still here. I spent over 15, 20 million trying to produce this film,” Ogunmola stated in the video.
The actress explained that her ordeal began on Wednesday when she arrived at the airport for her scheduled flight to Lagos, only to be told the flight was delayed and eventually cancelled.
The filmmaker expressed disappointment over the lack of communication from the airline, stating that the situation affected not just her time but her livelihood.
She disclosed that she was forced to consider traveling by road and added that her lawyers would be taking up the matter, as she documented the incident for accountability purposes.
