Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola Salako and her husband, Kayode Salako, who have been together for over a decade, have allegedly parted ways.
According to sources, the marriage has been experiencing serious challenges, leading them to go their separate ways.
Sourced claimed Salako has since relocated to be with his first family, while Foluke is reportedly in a new relationship based in Abuja.
Insiders further reveal that the separation isn’t recent, and the couple is said to have been apart for nearly a year. Still, they have deliberately kept the situation out of public attention. Sources say this decision was influenced by political considerations, as Foluke is believed to be nursing ambition for a political position in Oshodi, Lagos.
The report added that despite maintaining a united front in public, close associates confirm that the relationship had long broken down, with both parties choosing privacy over publicity.
In an Instagram post, Foluke addressed the issue regarding her husband’s first wife and marriage. She narrated how she met her husband on civil grounds, disclosing that she had no knowledge of her husband’s first wife and had never met or spoken with her.
While celebrating her husband’s birthday, the Yoruba actress made a surprising revelation about her marriage, praising her husband for being her support system and best friend, stating she was content with him despite his imperfections. The Yoruba actress also noted that they both had rough times but always resolved their differences, describing her 13 years of marriage to him as 13 days.
Responding to the accusations that she snatched her husband, the actress stated that Kayode’s wife left of her own free will. She also admitted that her husband is a polygamist who has children with multiple different women. Foluke made it clear that she was his sole legal spouse.
In a 2023 interview with TVC, Daramola opened up on red flags in relationships, revealing that she lost her virginity through rape. As such, she developed hatred for sex and saw it as a punishment, but her first husband didn’t care about her plight and wanted it every day.
