Nollywood actress Yetunde Barnabas has sent a message to postpartum mothers.
On her Instagram page, she reminded them that they brought life into the world, but they’re strong, beautiful, radiant and deserving of every bit of self-love.
She admonished them not to forget to take care of themselves as well as the little one and to make sure to get every help they can, too.

You may have just brought life into this world, but you’re still YOU, strong, beautiful, radiant, and deserving of every bit of self-love.

Kemi Filani reported in November that the light-skinned actress had announced the birth of her second child, a baby boy. Sharing photos of herself, her husband and their newborn child, she revealed that their miracle has been born.
Following the good news of her son’s birth, her colleague, Bakare Zainab shared a clip from her surprise baby shower, which was thrown by her friends. The likes of Afeez Owo, Bakare Zainab, Seiilat, Omowunmi Ajiboye, and more were in attendance.
A week after his birth, Barnabas and her husband marked the 8-day celebration of their son. The likes of Fausat Balogun, Ijebu, Tawa Ajisefinni and husband had attended the event.
While sharing family-themed maternity photos, Yetunde wrote a message to her newborn son, saying they prayed for more love and God gave them him.
In December, she had celebrated her son’s first month birthday. She saw her son as their answered prayers, and said she loves him in ways that words will never fully capture.
On Christmas Day, Yetunde unveiled the face of her son, saying she wanted to keep this cuteness for herself, but she pitied the public. Yetunde said every smile, stare, and heartbeat was a reminder of God’s goodness and grace.
In June, Yetunde and her husband had celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary. Sharing lovely family photos, she noted how their journey started with love, and with love, they’re still going strong. Yetunde said she never had any doubts about meeting him and saying yes to a forever commitment.
