Air Peace has strongly condemned what it described as the “unruly conduct” of former Edo State Governor and current senator, Adams Oshiomhole, who allegedly disrupted flight operations at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 1 in Lagos on Wednesday morning.

In a statement issued by the airline’s management, Senator Oshiomhole reportedly arrived at the terminal at approximately 6:10 a.m. for Flight P47120, which was scheduled to depart for Abuja at 6:30 a.m. The airline explained that, in line with standard operating procedures, boarding gates had already closed and the flight departed on schedule.

Upon learning that he had missed the flight, the senator allegedly became aggressive, assaulted airline staff, and obstructed access to the terminal by barricading the entrance.

“He went as far as sealing the entry gate and manning the access point, effectively obstructing other passengers from gaining entry into the terminal,” the airline said.

The disruption reportedly affected multiple passengers and flight operations. Air Peace said it quickly activated contingency measures, rerouting affected travelers through an alternate terminal to minimize further delays.

The airline expressed disappointment over what it called the “unbecoming and disruptive” behavior of a high-profile individual and reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy for violence or aggression toward staff and passengers.

“No individual, no matter how influential, is above these values,” the airline stated, emphasizing its commitment to discipline, integrity, and strict adherence to aviation protocols.

As of the time of this report, there has been no official response from Senator Oshiomhole or his office regarding the incident.
