Former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has urged residents of Zamfara State to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as part of broader efforts to address rising security and economic challenges facing the state and the country.
Naijaonpoint reports that the former All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain made the appeal on Sunday, November 9, while addressing ADC supporters in Gusau, where he outlined the party’s roadmap for improving security, stabilising the economy and enhancing food production across Zamfara.
The former governor appealed to party members to remain united and avoid actions that could undermine the party’s progress.
He also stressed the need for collaboration with youth and women’s groups to deepen awareness of ADC’s programmes at the grassroots.
He encouraged residents to prepare their Permanent Voter’s Cards ahead of the 2027 polls.
The ADC’s Deputy National Organising Secretary, Abubakar Atiku, described El-Rufai’s visit as a major boost to ongoing efforts to strengthen internal cooperation and stability among members in Zamfara.
State ADC Chairman, Alhaji Kabiru Garba, said the event attracted youths and women from all 14 local government areas of the state, noting that the party continues to grow and attract new supporters.
The gathering was also attended by local politicians, Islamic scholars, and community stakeholders, who reaffirmed their interest in the ADC’s plans for security, economic revival and inclusive governance in Zamfara.
