WATCH THE VIDEO HERE The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has shared a personal testimony of how he narrowly escaped death seven years ago. Speaking at the annual Special Holy Ghost Service, themed “Joy Unspeakable,” Adeboye expressed his gratitude to God for sparing his life. Adeboye recounted how he fell critically ill during the church’s annual “Let’s-Go-A-Fishing” evangelism programme. He had collapsed in Ilesha due to the terrible road conditions and had to be airlifted to the camp via a chartered helicopter. However, the situation took a dramatic turn when local miscreants attempted to prevent the helicopter from taking off, resulting in one of the windows getting torn. Despite the challenges, Adeboye managed to reach the camp, where he had an assurance that he would recover. Seven years later, Adeboye is still alive and serving God, and he is grateful for the divine intervention that saved his life. Adeboye urged the congregation to thank God for sparing his life, saying, “Please, praise Him for me—give Him glory, honor, and adoration!”
