Nigerian music power couple Adekunle Gold and Simi are celebrating their 7th wedding anniversary.
Taking the lead, Adekunle noted how seven years ago, he married his best friend, and since then, every year has been gentler than the last.
Adekunle noted how they’ve laughed hard, grown deeply, prayed sincerely, and chosen each other again and again. And through it all, loving her has been the easiest and most beautiful decision of his life.

Simi stated that Adekunle is still the one, even after seven years have passed. She expressed gratitude for the joy and peace he brings into her life and recalled how a friend asked her why she chose him; she said they fit, and they still do.
Simi noted how Adekunle is mindful of her, loves her, and allows her fight to be seen and loved. She appreciated him for being a good man, taking care of her, and being worth the sacrifice.
Calling him the husband of her youth, she affirmed her love for him.

Kemi Filani reported in December that the power couple, in a video posted on their YouTube page, announced they were expecting their second child. In the clips, Simi was captured showing off her protruding baby bump alongside her husband and their daughter, Deja.
A week ago, Adekunle, on his Snapchat page, announced that he and his wife had welcomed twins. He noted that he had asked God for another child, and God blessed him with twins.
Last year, Adekunle Gold and Simi had celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. Adekunle stated that Simi has been his greatest blessing, his partner in everything, and his peace and joy. He stated that every day with her is a gift, and he is forever grateful for her.
Simi, on her part, had penned a note to him as she noted how Adekunle still makes her laugh. She declared him the best man she knows and the one for her.
Adekunle Gold married Simi in 2019, and they welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Deja, in 2020.
In a past interview, Simi said she never intended to marry a musician as she narrated how she met her husband, who she never knew was a singer.
