The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to the people of Osun State, declaring that his pact of service is both “unbreakable and sustainable.”
According to the statement released by the Governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the administration reaffirmed its resolve to deepen development efforts across all zones of Osun State.
Speaking at a grand reception in Ila Orangun during the flag-off ceremony of the 3.5-kilometre dualisation of Ila Township Road, Governor Adeleke said he remains focused on delivering his five-point development agenda and other electoral promises.
Highlighting his administration’s achievements, the Governor revealed that over 200 kilometres of roads have been reconstructed, rehabilitated, and renovated since he assumed office.
“The Ilesa dualisation project is 78 per cent completed; the Ile-Ife flyover project is 75 per cent completed; the Oke-Fia flyover is over 95 per cent done, while the LAMECO flyover is about 55 per cent executed,” Adeleke stated.
He further stated that the Oke Gada bridge has reached 100 per cent completion, while numerous community roads, including the Oba Jinsin/Ita Obajoko road and Ajagunla Street, have been fully delivered.
Adeleke said, “In Ila, we have completed the 2KM stretch from Ogunlade Junction to Kamila Junction and finished the 1.8KM Aregun Junction to Ogunlolu road.”
Unveiling the new road project, Adeleke stated that the first phase of the 3.5 km dualization of Ila Township Road will be completed within 10 months.
“This is part of our deliberate efforts to open up Osun State through road infrastructure. We are also rehabilitating the Ila-Ora-Oke Ila road, which has already reached Oke Ila junction,” he assured.
He pledged to continue work in Ora and its adjoining communities, noting that no community would be left behind in his infrastructure rollout.
The flag-off ceremony, held in Ila Orangun, drew top royal dignitaries including the host, Orangun of Ila, Oba Abdulwahab Oyedotun; the Orangun of Oke Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin; the Akesin of Ora; and the Asaoni of Ora.
In his royal welcome, the Orangun of Ila praised Adeleke’s performance, citing numerous ongoing and completed projects across Igbomina land and Osun State as a whole.
Also present at the ceremony were the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun; and several commissioners and lawmakers.
Hon. Clement Akanni, who represents Ila/Ifedayo/Boluwaduro federal constituency, and the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, both commended the Governor’s infrastructural drive, particularly the commencement of the Ila township road project.
