Ademola Lookman has been heavily linked with Inter Milan in recent weeks, but it might take a while before the transfer is complete
Super Eagles attacker Ademola Lookman has deleted all posts of Atalanta on his Instagram page after the club rejected Inter Milan’s opening bid for him on Friday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Since the turn of the year, it has been established that Lookman will leave Atalanta this summer despite having two years left on his contract.
He was supposed to leave last summer, but La Dea blocked the transfer. However, this summer, the club is willing to do business.

But according to the latest reports from Italian transfer expert Nicolo Schira, Atalanta have rejected their offer. La Dea are insisting on at least €50 million guaranteed before they let their most-prized asset leave.

In fact, they are offering Lookman a new deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2029, with a bigger package of €4.5 million per year. But the former Fulham man insists that he is not interested.
Ademola #Lookman is not convinced to extend his contract with #Atalanta and has no changed his plans: he would like to join #Inter. If Inter increase their bid around €50M, Atalanta could give the green light to the sale. Up to Inter decide if making a new bid or not. #transfers https://t.co/ZX3NhhobLb

Ademola Lookman takes action
Following Atalanta’s rejection of Inter Milan’s bid, Ademola Lookman has taken action to show that he is not happy.
The 26-year-old Super Eagles attacker has unfollowed Atalanta on Instagram. He has also deleted every post of him at the club on his page.

Lookman also changed his display picture on Instagram and X to pitch black as though he was in mourning.
What Lookman has done is a step that many footballers take when they want to force their way out of the club.

Inter Milan are yet to table a second bid, but they have already agreed on personal terms with the player.
With Lookman desperate to leave Atalanta, the Nerazzurri should be able to close the deal soon.
