Tottenham are looking to sign an attacker before the end of the transfer window, and Ademola Lookman might just be their man…

English Premier League club Tottenham are looking to swoop in for Super Eagles attacker Ademola Lookman before the close of the transfer window, Soccernet.ng reports.

Tottenham have been in search of a new attacker for a few weeks as they look add quality players to give them depth due to their participation in the domestic competitions and the UEFA Champions League.

Spurs have been heavily-linked with Manchester City star Savinho in recent weeks. They were even willing to break their transfer record to sign the 21-year-old winger.

But now, fresh reports from transfers expert Fabrizio Romano suggests that Manchester City have confirmed that they will not sell Savinho this summer.

Spurs Will Now Move To Ademola Lookman

Now that Manchester City have blocked any potential move for Savinho, Tottenham have to move on quickly.

Ben Jacobs reports that their next set of targets are Ademola Lookman and Xavi Simons. Super Eagles star Lookman has had a summer to forget, as he has spent the last three weeks fighting Atalanta to let him leave.

Meanwhile, Simons seems to be headed to another part of London, as he has agreed on personal terms with Chelsea, albeit the Blues have not put in a bid yet. But it would take a lot to convince Simons to change his mind about going to Chelsea.

Lookman was seriously linked with Inter Milan, but the transfer did not materialize, as the former Serie A champions were unwilling to meet Atalanta’s valuation.

However, with just four days left before the transfer market closes, Spurs are looking to go all in for Lookman.

The Super Eagles star is a far cheaper alternative to Savinho, as La Dea will accept a bid in the region of €50 million.

Lookman is desperate to leave, while Tottenham are desperate to add a quality player. As such, if Spurs make a bid, the deal should be completed before the window closes.
