Super Eagles and Atalanta forward, Ademola Olajade Lookman, has been linked with a move to 2025 UEFA Champions League finalists, Inter Milan, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nerazzurri had initially offered to take the 2024 CAF Player of the Year on loan with an option to buy, which was swiftly turned down.
Christian Chivu’s side then submitted another €40m bid for the 27-year-old, but Atalanta do not consider the bid on the same level as their valuation of the player.

Lookman suffered a calf injury on his return to pre-season training with Atalanta, but while the severity of the injury is unknown, Inter Milan are preparing another offer for the former RB Leipzig attacker.
Inter’s stance on Ademola Lookman
According to Football Italia, Atalanta are expecting to receive a new offer from Inter for the Super Eagles star in the near future.
The 2010 treble winners have identified Lookman as their next target in the summer transfer window following the previous arrivals of Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique and Ange-Yoan Bonny. They also have an agreed wage structure in place with the former Everton man.
Atalanta are seeking a fee closer to €50m, but Inter want to upgrade their offer with about €5m, hoping La Dea will agree to a fee in the coming days.

The 2024 UEFA Europa League winner declined an offer from Napoli, making it clear that he only wants a move to the San Siro.
As per FCInterNews, Lookman is willing to reduce his wage demands in order to facilitate a move to Inter Milan.
Although an agreement for the ex-Fulham man to earn €4.5m annually at Inter Milan, he’s willing to reduce that by €1m to make the move happen, which in turn, will allow Inter to more easily raise their offer to Atalanta and wrap up the deal quickly.
Lookman scored 20 goals and provided six assists in 40 appearances for Atalanta across all competitions last season.
