Nigeria now know their opponents in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Super Eagles will face Algeria in Marrakesh on Sunday in a repeat of the 2019 semifinal clash at the AFCON.
Algeria secured their place in the last eight after edging to a 1-0 extra-time win over DR Congo in the round of 16 tie on Tuesday night.
The Desert Warriors and the Leopards played out a goalless draw in regulation time and it appeared nothing would separate the two teams in extra time.
However, with barely a minute left before penalties, Algeria scored the all-important winner to book a date with Nigeria.
