Africa Impact Fundraising (AIF) Grant Program 2025 – Up to $5,000 Matching Funds + Training Opportunities

The Africa Impact Fundraising (AIF) Grant Program is a new initiative launched by the New Africa Fund to empower African NGOs, community-based organizations (CBOs), and social enterprises. The program seeks to address the growing need for fundraising skills and funding access across the continent.

What the Program Offers

Selected organizations will begin with an online training program focused on individual donor campaigns. Participants will then put their knowledge to the test during a 30-day fundraising challenge, with an opportunity to receive up to $5,000 in matching funds.

Top-performing organizations from the challenge will receive an exclusive invitation to attend a week-long intensive fundraising workshop in Kigali, Rwanda, covering:

  • Financial management

  • Grant writing

  • Donor research

  • Individual donor campaigns

  • Communications and marketing

  • Local fundraising strategies

  • Donor cultivation and retention

Eligibility Criteria

Only organizations legally registered in one of the 55 African Union member states are eligible to apply. Unfortunately, individuals and organizations registered outside Africa are not eligible, and unsolicited applications are not accepted.

Program Benefits

  • Up to 70 organizations will receive foundational training on donor engagement and fundraising.

  • $5,000 in matching funds is available during the 30-day fundraising challenge.

  • All selected participants will receive 12 months of free fiscal sponsorship from the New Africa Fund (with a possible extension).

  • Up to 10 top performers will attend the fully funded workshop in Kigali, Rwanda.

  • Access to additional performance-based funding opportunities as the program expands.
