This Nigeria news platform understands that ACP Egbeyemi’s promotion follows a recommendation by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, just ten days earlier. Previously serving as the Commander of the Raider Team at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos, his elevation from Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to ACP underscores his exemplary service and dedication to duty. The decoration ceremony, held at the MD Abubakar Hall, was a jubilant affair, as the hall erupted in applause when ACP Egbeyemi’s name was announced by the Zone 2 Police spokesperson, CSP Ayuba. Friends, family, colleagues, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the milestone, reflecting the high regard in which he is held within the force and his community. In his address to the newly promoted officers, AIG Fayoade emphasized that the promotions were strictly merit-based, recognizing the officers’ commitment and excellence in service.
