The Group Managing Director of African Independent Television (AIT), Chief Marcel Anyalebechi, has expressed the organization’s readiness to collaborate with the Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC) in promoting the principles and objectives of the Fiscal Responsibility Act (FRA) 2007.
Chief Anyalebechi made this known during a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Mr. Victor Muruako, Esq., at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
He commended the Commission for its consistent efforts in fostering transparency, accountability, and prudence in public finance management, noting that African Independent Television (AIT) remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen good governance and fiscal discipline in Nigeria.
“The Commission has continued to play a pivotal role in ensuring transparency and accountability in the management of public resources. AIT will continue to partner with the FRC to propagate these laudable efforts in line with the Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2007,” Anyalebechi assured.
In his response, the Executive Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Victor Muruako, Esq expressed appreciation to AIT for its consistent and balanced reportage of national issues, particularly those concerning fiscal discipline and good governance.
He lauded AIT’s professional team—including Nancy Illor, Amaechi Aniekwe, Chioma Okolie, Adebayo Bodrin, and others—for their dedication and wide coverage of the Commission’s activities, which has helped in enlightening the public on FRC’s mandate and achievements.
FRC boss reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to working with the media in promoting fiscal transparency, accountability, and responsibility across all levels of government.
