Uyo, August 10, 2025 — Governor Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has announced the disbursement of ₦492 million in cash and equipment to thousands of entrepreneurs in the Uyo Federal Constituency.
Speaking at the ARISE Town Square Meeting in Uyo, the governor said the beneficiaries received vehicles, mini-buses, business tools, and ₦5 million cheques aimed at stimulating small businesses and driving economic growth at the grassroots level.
“In just two years, we’ve delivered 116 projects in the constituency, covering roads, healthcare, education, and tourism,” Governor Eno said.
In addition to the empowerment packages, the governor presented a brand-new Jeep to CP Otu Ita, an Akwa Ibom-born female Police Commissioner, in recognition of her service.
Governor Eno thanked the constituency for their massive support and endorsement of his 2027 re-election bid, pledging continued investment in infrastructure, job creation, and community development.
