Controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has laid curses on individuals he describes as purveyors for insecurity in Nigeria, declaring that Allah’s wrath will surely fall on such people.
In a post he shared on his official Facebook page on Thursday night, the Islamic scholar said those who are sponsoring the wave of violence and bloodshed in Nigeria will not escape the anger of Allah in the fullness of time.
In ..., Sheikh Gumi who has become famous over his constant advocacy for bandits and terrorists, prayed that divine punishment should befall anyone contributing to the nation’s insecurity whether the person is a Nigerian or a foreigner.
“My prayer today: Ya Allah! Whoever initiated or is behind this insecurity and bloodbath in Nigeria, whether foreign or citizen, or has any benefit, material or otherwise, or is even happy that people are being killed, or willingly did nothing to stop it, may by Your divine power be exposed and Your anger poured upon them and punished immediately without harm to the innocent. Amin,” he wrote.
Sheikh Gumi emphasized that his divine plea is borne out of concerns over the escalating attacks by bandits and terrorists across the country which he believes are being sponsored by some individuals who are bent on giving the terrorists a bad name despite his efforts to engage them and get them to drop their weapons and embrace peace.
