Antoine Massey, one of the 10 New Orleans inmates who escaped jail last month, released a video proclaiming his innocence.
Authorities are looking into viral social media clips that allegedly featured an escaped jail inmate last month and calling on rapper NBA YoungBoy and President Donald Trump to help, as authorities are still desperately trying to track him down.
“They say that I broke out. I didn’t break out. I was let out,” the man, who identified himself as the escaped inmate, Massey, says in the clip.
According to Massey, he should not have been in jail in the first place, as the report made against him was proven to be false.
Massey, 32, was locked up in March on vehicle theft and domestic abuse battery charges. Before the jailbreak, he was also wanted in St. Tammany Parish for alleged rape and kidnapping. A judge had issued a protective order in Orleans Parish, and he had not entered a plea before escaping.
“So I’m asking, please for help. [NBA] Young Boy, Meek Mill. People that been through the system that know it’s corrupt,” he continues.

“Lil Wayne, Donald Trump, please, I’m asking for help. When I get back in custody, I’m asking y’all please to come and help me. I’m letting y’all know I’m not a raper, man. I’m not none of that. None of that. I’m a good person. I am a father that want to be in my children’s life … I want to let the younger you know that going down the route of trying to be a street person is not the route.”
The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office called for Massey to turn himself in.
“If the individual depicted in the video is indeed Antoine Massey, we strongly urge him to come forward and turn himself in to the proper authorities,” the statement reads. “Cooperating with law enforcement is in his best interest and may help avoid additional charges. It is important that justice is served appropriately and that due process is followed.”
