A former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Sam Amadi, has suggested that almost all Nigerian governors and legislators are corrupt.
Naijaonpoint reports that Amadi, in a post via 𝕏 on Thursday, stated that most governors and legislators had allegedly stolen from the public treasury, except for the Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and a few others.
The Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts also described most people running for public office in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) as thieves.

According to Amadi, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is a compromised, corrupt, and biased organisation, adding that the anti-graft agency cannot prosecute President Bola Tinubu’s team.
He said, “Two Sides of Truth: Almost all Nigerian govs & Legislators are corrupt. They stole, with exception of @PeterObi & one or two.
“Most people running for office in ADC or APC are thieves
“@officialEFCC is a compromised, corrupt & biased organization. It cannot prosecute Tinubu’s team.”
Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has dismissed the chances of former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, securing the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), or African Democratic Congress (APC) for the 2027 general election.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Bwala said Obi, who polled 6,101,533 votes to finish second behind Tinubu’s 8,794,726 in the 2023 election, would not only lose the ticket race but might also fail to emerge as a running mate.
Bwala speaking on the 2023 presidential election, he said, “The southeast they were trying to find a place. The majority of them tried to align with Atiku Abubakar. The north-central Peter Obi used dangerous rhetoric and deceived the church that he was going to take the country back to the church, and he got the number he could muster.
“Let me tell you, in the southeast, I guarantee you President Bola Tinubu is going to get more than four times, if not six times, the value of the vote he got (in 2023).”
Bwala insisted that, despite Obi having three options, PDP, LP, and ADC, he would not get a ticket in any of them.
