Actress and comedian Amanda Seales is making it clear that a stop on The Joe Budden Podcast is not on her agenda, even though she considers Budden a longtime friend.
In a candid video shared on social media, Seales explained that her reluctance has less to do with Budden himself and more to do with other voices connected to the show.
“I just don’t want to go places where people have said mean things about me,” she said, noting that she has learned to be more mindful about the platforms she engages with.
Seales added that while she and Joe Budden go back decades, not everyone associated with the podcast feels safe or respectful to her. “There are people on that podcast that I consider my friends,” she said. “But there are others I’m just not interested in talking to or talking about. They’ve had my name in their mouth.”
The comments come shortly after Seales publicly addressed her fractured relationship with Charlamagne Tha God, confirming the two are no longer friends. “Why would I do a podcast with Charlamagne?” she said in a recent clip. “We don’t have great chemistry anymore.”
