The new Blink Mini 2 security camera has just received its first discount, bringing it down to just $19.99. That is half off of its regular price, and it is the first discount it has seen since being announced back in April.
Blink Mini 2 is the company’s second-generation plug-in smart security camera that is small and can be placed almost anywhere. It can be used outdoors, but you need to buy the Blink Weather Resistant Power Adapter, which is sold separately. As with any other security camera, you can see it in live time through the Blink App, and since Blink is owned by Amazon you can also use Alexa to control it. It’s able to record 1080p HD video, and it also has a built-in spotlight, making night view easier to use. There’s a wider field-of-view this year and two-way audio. So you can speak to whoever your camera is seeing.
With the Blink Mini 2, you’ll get the usual motion detection that you’d expect from a smart security camera, as well as smart notifications. So you can be alerted to a person being detected, and this is thanks to the embedded computer vision that’s part of the Blink subscription plan.
