WATCH THE VIDEO HERE THE Anambra State Police Command has pledged to apprehend the criminals responsible for the murders of four vigilante operatives and the serious injuries of two others in the state. The Commissioner of Police Nnaghe Itam made this commitment today in a statement through the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga. Ikenga reported that armed men in unregistered Lexus 330 and Honda FJ Cruiser SUVs attacked vigilante members at Ekeagu Abatete, killing three operatives and injuring an unsuspecting bystander. He also noted that at Ukpo Junction in the Dunukofia Local Government Area, the assailants, while fleeing from a police response team, shot and killed another vigilante member, injured another person, and set two vehicles on fire. The police confirmed that the bodies of the deceased have been recovered, and the injured individuals are receiving medical treatment. The Commissioner of Police gave his condolences to the families, friends, and community of the victims, assuring that the police will do everything possible to ensure the perpetrators are caught and brought to justice.
