Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly decided to leave his position as Real Madrid’s head coach at the end of the current season, despite still having a contract that runs until 2026.

The Italian manager, who has enjoyed significant success in his second tenure at the club, has made the firm decision to step down, regardless of how the season concludes, even if it includes further trophies and the club’s plea for him to remain.

According to Radioestadio Noche on Onda Cero, Ancelotti has made up his mind to move on come summer 2025.

After renewing his contract in December 2023, amid rumors linking him to the Brazil national team, Ancelotti has cemented his place in the club’s history.

Under his leadership, Real Madrid won multiple titles, including two La Liga championships, two UEFA Champions League trophies, a Copa del Rey, and several Super Cups.

These accolades further add to his already remarkable legacy, including his success in guiding the club to their long-awaited “La Décima” Champions League title in his first spell.

Ancelotti’s contract renewal was unexpected, as many speculated that his time at Madrid was nearing its end, particularly with the Brazilian Football Federation courting him for their managerial role.
