Michael Auta, has commended President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and Governor Uba Sani for their roles in upgrading the Yakowa General Hospital in Kafanchan to a Federal Medical Centre. President Tinubu recently granted the upgrade which is expected to provide advanced medical facilities, specialized treatments, and improved healthcare services to the people of Kafanchan and neighboring communities, in Southern Kaduna. Auta, who contested for the Senatorial seat for Kaduna South in the 2023 general election, praised the peaceful atmosphere in Kaduna and Governor Sani’s achievements, which he said aligned with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. “I wish to sincerely appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his kind consideration of approving the conversion of Yakowa General Hospital Kafanchan to a Federal Medical Centre. “This is a significant development for the people of Kafanchan and neighboring communities, and it will provide advanced medical facilities, specialized treatments, and improved healthcare services,” he said. Auta, while speaking with newsmen in Kaduna on Friday, also commended Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor Uba Sani, and Hon. Amos Gwamna, member representing Zango/Jaba federal constituency and Chairman House committee on health, for their efforts in making the upgrade a reality. “I am also extending the appreciation of the good people of Southern Kaduna to Vice President Kashim Shettima and Governor Uba Sani for their support and enabling environment which is in tandem with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu,” Auta said. The APC chieftain noted that the conversion would also create job opportunities, boosting the local economy. He expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, saying the President is focused on creating opportunities and improving citizens’ quality of life. “This is a victory for all of us. The upgrade of the Yakowa General Hospital to a Federal Medical Centre is a testament to the commitment of President Tinubu and Governor Sani to improving the lives of Nigerians.” Auta called on the people of Kafanchan and Kaduna State to take advantage of the enhanced healthcare services at the newly established Federal Medical Centre and support healthcare workers and maintain the facilities. According to him, “the upgrade of the Yakowa General Hospital to a Federal Medical Centre is expected to have a significant impact on the healthcare sector in Kaduna State. The hospital, which was established in 2008, has been providing healthcare services to the people of Kafanchan and neighboring communities. “The upgrade is expected to provide advanced medical facilities, including state-of-the-art equipment and specialized treatments. The hospital will also provide training and capacity-building programs for healthcare workers, which will help to improve the quality of healthcare services in the state. “The development will complement the efforts of the Kaduna State Government to improve the healthcare sector in the state.
