The North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum has cautioned President Bola Tinubu against publicly embracing opposition governors, warning that such gestures could dampen party morale ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a statement released on Sunday in Abuja, the Forum said some APC members in states controlled by rival parties had complained of harassment and intimidation. However, it did not mention any governors or provide evidence to support the allegations.
The group urged the presidency and APC leadership to focus on strengthening the party’s structures and protecting members’ participation in the political process, stressing that unity and loyalty would be crucial for electoral victory in 2027.
