APC Lawmaker, Yar’adua Speaks On Decamping To ADC

Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yaradua

The Senator representing Katsina Central, Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, has dismissed claims circulating that he is plotting to defect from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement released on Sunday night, the lawmaker described the rumours as baseless and mischievous media speculation, insisting that his political allegiance remains firmly with the ruling party and President Bola Tinubu.

Naijaonpoint reports that the senator, reacting to widespread online reports of an imminent defection, urged Nigerians and the media to disregard the story, which he said was fabricated to cause confusion.

“I wish to categorically reaffirm my unwavering commitment and support for the All Progressives Congress (APC),” Yar’adua said.

He emphasized that he has no plans to leave the APC and remains fully aligned with the party’s leadership and agenda.

Yar’adua also cautioned against associating him with other political actors bearing the Yar’Adua surname, stressing that such assumptions are misleading.

“It’s essential to clarify that not all individuals sharing the Yar’Adua surname imply a political association with me,” he added.

The Katsina lawmaker assured his supporters that he remains committed to working with the APC government to deliver development to his constituents and contribute to the success of the Tinubu administration.

He urged the public to focus on facts rather than politically motivated rumours designed to sow discord within the party.
