WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Naijaonpoint reported that Mrs. Onanuga died on Wednesday. The Late Onanuga who represented Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency of Ogun State was a second-term lawmaker. A statement signed on Thursday, by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, described the late Deputy Chief Whip as a cerebral legislator and entrepreneur. The party consoled her family, members of her constituency and the House. APC prayed for eternal rest for the late lawmaker. It read: “The All Progressives Congress (APC) is shocked and saddened by the passing of the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Oriyomi Adewunmi Onanuga. “Until this tragic event, Rt. Hon. Onanuga was a second-term federal lawmaker representing Ikenne Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency of Ogun State in the House of Representatives. “A highly cerebral legislator and entrepreneur, Onanuga was born in Hammersmith, London on December 2, 1965. She was first elected to the House of Representatives on the platform of our great Party in 2019 and re-elected in 2023. “Onanuga, fondly called ‘ljaya’ by friends and associates, distinguished herself as a fine and vibrant lawmaker, serving as chairman of House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development until her elevation as Deputy Chief Whip in 2023. “Our thoughts and prayers are with her immediate family, the leadership and members of the House of Representatives, constituents, the government and good people of Ogun State at this difficult time. “May her soul find eternal rest. Amen.”
