APC Will Decide On Tenure Of Executives At The Right Time – Uzodinma

Hope Uzodinma speaking

The Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has assured party members that the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains united despite growing anxiety over a possible tenure extension for its executive committees nationwide.

Reacting through his Chief Press Secretary, Hon. Oguwuike Nwachuku, Uzodimma, in an interview with Leadership, emphasised that the ruling party would always protect the interests and aspirations of Nigerians both at the state and national levels.

Uzodimma noted that the issue of tenure for current executives would be addressed collectively at the appropriate time.

“As a responsible and responsive party, we believe in mutual dialogue. This issue will be deliberated on appropriately. Be rest assured, when we get to the bridge, we will cross it,” he said.

He further stressed that the APC “operates as a united family,” which makes decisions in the best interest of its members and Nigerians at large.

According to the PGF Chairman, the tenure of the incumbent executives will not be determined by speculation but by due consultation within the party leadership.

Naijaonpoint reports that his remarks come amid reports that the APC is considering extending the tenure of its National Working Committee (NWC) and other executives beyond 2027, a move that has stirred unease among some governors and stakeholders.
