APC Will Produce Makinde’s Successor In 2027 – Oyo Rep

APC

A member of the House of Representatives from Oyo State, Hon. Aderemi Oseni, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will unseat the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 governorship election and produce the next governor of the state.

Oseni, who represents the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, stated that the APC cannot afford to remain in the opposition in Oyo beyond 2027, stressing that the PDP-led administration had failed to attract federal presence to the state due to political misalignment with the central government.

Speaking in Ibadan while addressing members of the Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF) across the 33 local government areas and wards of the state, Oseni accused the PDP government of isolating Oyo from the benefits of President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.

“We are taking over power in this state come 2027. APC will produce a governor for this state in 2027,” Oseni declared.

“I will lead the battle. It doesn’t matter if I become the governorship flag bearer of our party or not. I will be very active in the process.

“In fact, I will lead the battle that will make sure that our dear party, the APC, returns to power in this state.”

The lawmaker cited his political track record in the last general elections, particularly his electoral performance in Ido/Ibarapa East, as evidence of his capacity to mobilise support for the party.

“What I did in Ido/Ibarapa in the last election is more than enough to speak for me.

“I’m the only one in the whole of this state that was not challenged in the court after the election because of the magnitude—I mean the size—of the number of votes I have. You dare not confront a lion,” he said.

Oseni further boasted of his influence during the presidential election, claiming he delivered all polling units in his constituency for President Tinubu without opposition.

“I’m the only person throughout the country that delivered all the polling units in my constituency for President Tinubu.

“So, no forces or coalition of political parties can stop the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027.”

He charged members of ROCOF to intensify grassroots mobilisation and campaign efforts for the re-election of President Tinubu, stating that the current administration has already begun delivering on its promises across sectors.

“We must remain focused and committed to the cause. The Renewed Hope agenda is already yielding positive results in infrastructure, agriculture, security, and education. What we need is continuity, and that’s what we must work for.”
