The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the South-East zone, Augustine Ehiemere, has declared that APGA has emerged as the healthiest and most grassroots-driven political party in Nigeria.
Naijaonpoint reports that Ehiemere made the assertion in his New Year message to party members and Nigerians, released on Friday, January 2, in which he said APGA remains focused on restoring security and economic stability in the South-East and the country at large.
The APGA chieftain said the party was on a deliberate mission to rescue the South-East and Nigeria from terrorism, banditry and other forms of insecurity that have continued to threaten lives and livelihoods.
He lamented the impact of insecurity in parts of the South-East, noting that criminal activities had disrupted economic and social life in the region.
However, Ehiemere assured residents that concrete strategies had been activated to flush out criminals and restore peace across the zone.
“Our mission remains clear: to rescue Nigeria and the South East from the grip of insecurity and the economic woes that have befallen our nation,” he said.
Ehiemere also took a swipe at other political parties, saying APGA had distinguished itself by remaining united and stable despite the leadership and administrative crises rocking many parties across the country.
According to him, the absence of internal wrangling has strengthened APGA’s structure and enhanced its credibility among grassroots supporters.
“APGA remains the most trusted, healthiest, and most grassroots-oriented party in the South East because of your loyalty,” he stated.
On A Mission To Reclaim All South-East States In 2027
The South-East vice chairman praised the Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, for what he described as significant achievements under APGA’s leadership in the state.
He expressed confidence that the party, under the national leadership of its Chairman, Sly Ezeokenwa, would expand its influence beyond Anambra ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ehiemere said APGA was well-positioned to take over Abia State and reclaim all South-East states in the next polls, citing growing acceptance of the party across the region.
He urged party members to remain committed and united as APGA prepares for what he described as a defining political contest in 2027.
“APGA, under the leadership of Sly Ezeokenwa, will lead the party to victory as we take over Abia and the entire South-East states in 2027,” he added.
