WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Comedian Aries Spears is calling on Black men to stop being homphobic in a new video posted to social media from his hospital bed. Spears shared that doctors found two polyps during his colonoscopy and that he was initially afraid to go because the procedure involved a medical instrument being placed inside his rectum. A colonoscopy is a procedure that allows a doctor to probe the inside of the colon and rectum using a flexible tube called a colonoscope. The colonoscope is inserted into the rectum and pushed into the colon. “I just got done doing my colonoscopy. Public service announcement! Black men, get this done,” he says in the clip. “I know we grew up homophobic in the Black community. We confuse getting health exams cause a doctor put his finger in your a-s with homosexuality. Knock it off… get the colonoscopy.” Spears added that he was put to sleep during the procedure and when he woke up he couldn’t tell that his booty had been “tampered with.”
