Nigerian talent manager, Ubi Franklin, has stated that artists are easier to manage when they do not have any hit songs
Naijaonpoint reports that the music executive made this known while speaking about the biggest mistake most Nigerian artists make.
In an interview on the Culture Sonic Podcast, Franklin claimed that promiscuity is the biggest challenge for most artists.
According to him, both male and female artists are affected by the problem.
He said, “The only artist that can be controlled is the one that has not had a hit. Once they have a hit, the first biggest problem for artists is womanising. For female singers, it’s promiscuity as well.”
Meanwhile, Ubi Franklin recently took to social media to mourn the death of his elder sister.
Naijaonpoint reports that the talent manager announced her death in a lengthy Instagram post.
According to Franklin, his sister, who was the mother figure in his life, died after battling cancer.
He described the late woman as his backbone and the one who shaped him into the person he is today.
He wrote: “CANCER WHY? Yesterday I got a call that she had been moved to the ICU. I did everything within my power to make it to Abuja. But while I was airborne, in the early hours of today,she passed on. This is one of the biggest losses of my life. When I landed in Abuja at 4:20am, she had already passed but it was hidden from me till 4pm today.
“Yet, through the pain, I am thankful. Thankful that I got to know her, to walk with her, to be shaped bybher. Thankful that I was blessed with such a soul as my sister – my backbone, my rock, my biggest cheerleader.”
