The former Leicester City defender revealed it’s a surreal feeling to go into a final for the first time with the Super Falcons, but mentioned there are no nerves.
“It’s surreal that I’m going into a final. I feel like with the team, we’re really calm. We’ve been calm throughout the tournament, so just being two days away from a big final is surreal,” the England-born Nigerian said in an interview with Elegbete TV Sports.

“I’m just here trying to take it all in. Obviously, my mind has wandered towards the game a few times, but right now, I’m just taking it one day at a time.”
“Even though we’re going into a final, we’re not necessarily changing our approach, compared to all of our other games.
“Every game we’ve done, we’ve taken it step by step to get to where we want to be. So, we’ve taken each game like a stepping stone to the next, so we’re trying to learn as much as we can from the previous games, and then make sure that we go into the next game feeling as prepared as possible,” the versatile defender concluded.
The Super Falcons will take on Morocco in the WAFCON 2024 final tomorrow at the Stade Olympique de Rabat in Rabat. Kick-off time is slated for 21:00 WAT.
