Rumors of an official AC: Black Flag Remake have been gaining traction in recent weeks after an insider revealed that Ubisoft was set to reveal an “unannounced title” in Q1 this year, which runs until the end of March. Further, a report from The Hidden One (via X) recently discovered a Black Flag-related domain registration that has added fuel to the hype fire.
With March fast-approaching, fans believe that Ubisoft is definitely going to either reveal or just straight-up shadow drop the Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag remake, with users like Kn1ghtV1sta arguing that the Xbox Direct showcase later this month would be “the best time to do it unless they want to go full shadow drop and just release it on a random day.”
Is A Stealth Drop Really Possible?
While a surprise shadow drop for Black Flag is definitely possible, it remains pure hopium at this point. Fans are praying for a surprise reveal at the Xbox Direct event later this month, but the rumored “secret” game has also apparently been confirmed to be a Double Fine project, nullifying the likelihood of a Black Flag remake dropping.
