Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has said she’s open to finding love and possibly getting married again but dating younger men is off the table.
Speaking in a recent interview, the 54-year-old actress admitted to having dated a younger man in the past, describing that period as a time when she was simply “having fun.” However, she said that chapter of her life is now closed.
“That season has passed,” Bello declared, adding that her focus has shifted from fun to finding meaningful, mature relationships. “I’m no longer in that fun zone,” she stated, explaining that her current priorities are rooted in emotional depth, shared values, and life compatibility.
Although she hasn’t given up on the idea of love or remarriage, Bello made it clear that any future relationship must align with her current stage in life. She emphasized the importance of maturity, emotional stability, and intentionality, saying that looks and age no longer hold weight in her decision-making.
“I’m not saying no to marriage,” she said. “But I know what I want now and it’s not a boyish thrill. I want something real.”
