Uche’s performances has attracted interest from some clubs in Europe, with sides like Chelsea and West Ham linked with him at the turn of the year.
But those talks have died down. Now, clubs like Everton, Sunderland, and Atletico Madrid have been linked with the Super Eagles star.
But according to reports, Atletico Madrid have taken a significant move to secure Uche’s services. Ekrem Konur reports that Los Colchoneros have opened talks with Getafe to sign the Super Eagles star.

Although Uche is valued at €15 million, Getafe will demand at least €20 million before they let Uche leave.
Why do Atletico Madrid want Christantus Uche?
Atletico Madrid need to revamp their midfield badly, as most of their attacking midfielders are on the other side of 30 or are not performing at their previous best levels.
Moreover, they need to get some quality to help their battle against league rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Christantus Uche stands out as a good option due to his talent. His temperament is also something that coach Diego Simeone would love, as the Argentine tactician loves high-octane and intense players.
It would be a massive step-up for Uche if the deal happens. In the coming days, something concrete could come up.
Uche just made his Super Eagles debut last month in the 2025 Unity Cup. He played against Jamaica in the final, before playing against Russia last week. He was impressive in both games.
