Nigerian filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele has bid the month of August goodbye in a sweet way.

The filmmaker, via her Instagram page, while reflecting on the month of August, shared adorable clips of her biggest moments throughout the month.

Funke revealed that the past month was busy as she jetted off to Frankfurt, Abuja, and Lagos for work and spent two months on a film set. She, however, said the past month wasn’t all about work as she had her amazing crew members, friends and colleagues with her and had unforgettable memories on and off set.

The box office Queen also noted how she celebrated her birthday this year and went on a vacation to the US to unwind. The mother of two expressed gratitude for the adventures, laughter, and good times that filled her month.

Undoubtedly, August was a blessed month for Funke Akindele as she celebrated her 48th birthday. Sharing a glam video of herself, the movie star expressed gratitude to her Maker for another year.

To celebrate her birthday, Akindele unveiled her next blockbuster movie, Behind the Scenes, which will premiere in December 2025. She urged her fans to expect something intriguing, captivating, and powerful, and added that her latest project is close to her heart and that she can’t wait for them to experience it.

Also, Funke had reflected on her early beginnings as she celebrated grace. She revealed that there was a year where she had no spotlight, but the dreams were loud, but time, growth and grace turned the process into purpose.

This year, the mother of two beat her previous box office record as her 2024 Cinema movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa became the highest-grossing film of all time in West Africa with 1.6 billion.
