Kanye West is no longer welcome ‘Down Under’ following the release of his controversial track, “Heil Hitler.”
Immigration Minister Tony Burke talked to CNS News about the ban.
Speaking to the news outlet, Burke opened up about the Australian government’s decision to cancel foreign nationals’ visas and he explained that many of the canceled visas were most often made for people seeking to make “public speeches.”
“The only one I can think of where it wasn’t for public advocacy – the visa – but we cancelled it anyway, would be Kanye West,” he added.
Ye’s wife, Bianca Censori, is an Australian native and while Ye has been welcomed many times in the past, his anti-Semitic antics have cost him the right to travel to Bianca’s homeland.
“He’s made a lot of offensive comments,” he added. “that my officials looked at again once he released the Heil Hitler song, and he no longer has a valid visa in Australia.”
Ye has not publicly addressed the ban.
