Renowned Nigerian author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and her husband, Dr. Ivara Esege, have lost one of their twin sons.
According to Arise News, the couple’s 21-month-old son, Nkanu Nnamdi Esege, died on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, after a brief illness.
Details surrounding the illness were not disclosed at the time of reporting.
Adichie, an award-winning novelist and public intellectual, welcomed the twins with her husband in 2024.
