WATCH THE VIDEO HERE From Desmond Mgboh Kano Nine persons have been killed in tragic auto crash that occurred yesterday evening along Kano-Zaria highway in Kano State. A statement by Public Relations Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Labaran Abdullahi, indicated that three other victims were injured while explaining that the crash involved a truck and a commercial tricycle. The statement added that the injured persons have been evacuated to Kura General Hospital in the state for urgent medical attention. Acvording to the statement, preliminary investigations into the cause (s) of the accident had revealed that it was caused by wrongful overtaking, which in turn led to loss of control of the vehicle by the driver,. The Sector Commander, Ahmed Mohammed has extended his condolences to the families of the deceased, including his sympathy to the injured persons. The Commander reiterated the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations, while particularly urging drivers to maintain safe speed limit when approaching major towns along the highways. He further advised road users to exercise caution and refrain from unnecessary loitering and hawking along the highways to avoid a similar tragedy.
