Well, the wait is over in this case. As revealed via the Xbox Partner Showcase, this timeless adventure and restaurant simulator is going to delight a whole new audience.
Dave The Diver Is Coming To Xbox Today
Announced At The Xbox Partner Showcase
Despite being released in 2023, Dave the Diver has been a mega-hit for developer Mintrocket. Originally debuting on PC, the game quickly made the jump to Nintendo Switch, where it remained a console exclusive for roughly six months. It finally arrived on PlayStation platforms in April of 2024, then on Switch 2 just this month. With the release on Xbox, the total console domination strategy is complete.
In case you haven’t played this gem before, Dave the Diver is basically two different games in one. You’ll explore the creepy and dangerous ocean floor for fish, and then run a restaurant at night. Many personality-filled NPCs help you on your adventure, creating a unique narrative that is going to continue with DLC.

It’s Still On The Way
In case you missed it, the “biggest story DLC yet” is still on the way for Dave the Diver, so even new fans have something to look forward to as they jump into the game for the first time today. Titled In the Jungle, the DLC promises “new storylines, mini-games, and recipes.” Mintrocket also reiterates that the DLC is due out in “early 2026,” so there’s still a way to go before we can continue Dave’s adventures.

“In the Jungle brings Dave out of the Blue Hole and onto dry land with a new jungle biome and freshwater environments teeming with new fish, ingredients, friends (and foes), and a host of new adventures with the familiar crew of Bancho, Cobra, Dr. Bacon, and more. Dave will team up with jungle locals to explore the mysterious lake surrounding the island on which the new village resides.”
With the move to Xbox, Dave the Diver‘s platform proliferation is complete. Now everyone can enjoy this gem on basically every major platform.
