Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, better known as Baba Ijesha, has released his first video since his release from prison.
Kemi Filani reported on Friday, November 15th, that the famous actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, professionally known as Baba Ijesha, has finally been released from prison, after spending over three years in custody over alleged sexual assault.
Announcing his release, actor Yomi Fabiyi, in a post shared on his Instagram page on Friday evening, stated that he was freed after being cleared by the Appeal Court. He stated that Ijesha is not just back, but is better, and expressed his happiness that he had been cleared.
In a video circulating online, the actor was captured expressing his gratitude to an unknown person, likely Yomi Fabiyi, for his support while he was in prison. He made the person aware that he had just arrived, was about to leave the vicinity, and was looking for a place to relax.
Praying for the person, he declared that he wouldn’t be disgraced.
“Baba Ese, I have come out. I just came out. I just want to leave there and look for a place to go. I just want to tell you. Thank you for your support. You will not be disgraced.
Let me find where to relax. Ese gan. Thank you”, he said in Yoruba.

Recall that in 2022, Baba Ijesha had bagged 5 years imprisonment for raping comedienne, Princess’s 14 years old daughter.
Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, in a two-hour judgement, convicted Baba Ijesha of indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault and attempted sexual assault. Taiwo, however, discharged and acquitted him of counts one and count six. He was thereby sentenced to 16 years imprisonment but was to face only 5 years consecutively.
After the vindictive from the court, comedienne, Princess was all joy after Baba Ijesha bagged 16years imprisonment. She shared a video of herself jubiliating.
