Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has returned to action at Bayer Leverkusen following a three-month injury lay-off, Soccernet.ng reports.
Boniface had an outstanding start to life at Bayer Leverkusen following his $20.5 million transfer from Belgium club Royale Union SG. The 23-year-old striker registering 16 goals and eight assists in 23 games for Die Werkself.
His performances for the club earned him back to back Bundesliga Rookie of the month awards. Unfortunately, he sustained an injury at the turn of the year.
