Two bandits met their waterloo recently in Kaduna State while attempting to collect a ransom of ₦1.5 million for four individuals who had been kidnapped.

Naijaonpoint understands that the bandits had kidnapped their victims from Mai-Iddo village, located in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The four victims, which included three women and a child, were reportedly taken from a farm the previous week.

However, a community leader who spoke to Daily Trust on the development said soldiers successfully rescued the victims and killed the assailants while attempting to pick up ransom paid for the release of their locals.

The source explained to journalists that the two bandits were killed after their leader instructed them to proceed to a designated spot where a relative of the kidnapped individuals was supposed to deliver the ransom.

He said, “The arrangements had been concluded with the troops with the man who will be taking the ransom to them and a vigilante. On getting to the particular location, the troops took cover.

‘’As two of the bandits came out to pick the ransom, the troops opened fire at them and killed the two of them instantly.”

Naijaonpoint understands that the abducted victims have been reunited with their families.
