The 2025/2026 Champions League will see an increase from 32 to 36 teams in the league phase format. Some clubs have already secured their place because of their respective domestic league positions. In the English Premier League, Liverpool and Arsenal have confirmed their spots. In Spain, the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Athletic Club have also qualified already.
