Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi are making history in the Premier League but this time not just on the pitch, but behind the camera, Footynaija.com reports.

The Fulham duo will co-host The Bassey and Iwobi Show, a brand-new series produced by Fulham FC TV (FFCtv), making them the first Nigerian players to front a regular club show in the Premier League.

Set to premiere this weekend, the show will offer fans a candid, entertaining look at their lives both on and off the pitch.

The debut episode focuses on “Scoring”, a fitting topic given the duo’s attacking flair and recent milestones.

The show was first teased during a light-hearted media day in 2024, but its full rollout now marks a significant step forward in the representation of African footballers in club media.

Bassey has gone from strength to strength since joining Fulham from Ajax for €21 million in July 2023. His commanding displays in defence earned him Fulham’s Player of the Season award for 2024–25. He’s the first Nigerian to ever win the accolade.

Iwobi, meanwhile, made history in April by surpassing Mikel Obi’s record for the most minutes played by a Nigerian in the Premier League. The former Everton star’s influence at Fulham has grown steadily, both in the dressing room and on the pitch.

With their brotherhood already admired, this show is set to reveal even more of the warmth, wit, and winning mentality that defines two of Nigeria’s finest exports.
